The Setter and Pointer Club are pleased to announce their new
TOP SETTER POINTER COMPETITION

Confined to Members of the Setter and Pointer Club
2018 Subscriptions £5 single £6 joint

To be run annually commencing at
The Setter and Pointer Championship Show on 4th November 2017 and ending at Midland Counties 2018.

DOUBLE POINTS FOR WINS AT SETTER AND POINTER CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW

Overall Top Setter Pointer will be declared
Top Setter Pointer for each Breed will be declared
Top Veteran, Top Working and Top Puppy overall will be declared
Top Veteran, Top Working and Top Puppy for each Breed will be declared.
POINTS CAN BE CLAIMED AT ANY SHOW WERE CC’S ARE ON OFFER FOR THE BREED OR GROUP WINS AT ANY CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW
Scoring System and Claim Forms will be available from the Secretary

Geoff Coupe


 It is with great sadness that we report the death of Geoff Coupe (Timadon) on 17th February.
 President of The Setter & Pointer Club & Irish Setter Association, England .
A very sad loss for all Setter & Pointer exhibitors. 
 A gentleman, he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
 
Our deepest sympathy goes to his family at this sad time.

The Club recognised the achievement in Irish Setters of a Dual Champion, and
Jane Mugford was presented with a Special Rosette by our Hon Secretary Mary Sherratt & Carol Moore Committee Member at the 2016 Championship Show

The Club recognised the achievement in Pointers of a Dual Champion, and
Carolyn O'Neill was presented with a Special Rosette by our Hon Secretary Mary Sherratt & Carol Moore Committee Member at the 2016 Championship Show

Full Champion

Last year the Setter and Pointer Club at its November Championship Show recognised the achievement in Gordon Setters of a Dual Champion, and presented Jean Osbornwith a Commemorative Rosette, this year Laura Kolbach was presented with a Special Rosette by our President Dr Ron James, to recognise her Irish Setter Ch Copper’s Wine ’N’ Roses (IMP SWE)’ achievement in gaining thefull title of Champion. 

The Setter & Pointer Club in partnership with the Irish Setter Association England, run two Field Trials each year and also schedule classes for both Field Trail and Special Working Gundog at their Championship Shows.

I am pleased to announce that after a period of 4 years, The Setter and Pointer Club will be returning to Bingley Hall, Stafford as a show venue for the foreseeable future. We will also be going back to our original date of the first Saturday in November.
